Fat Burning Q+A – Is there a right or wrong split routine or is it just something an individual feels comfortable with?

By kyle On February 8, 2009 No Comments

Hey there,

Got some Fat Burning Q+A for you today.

Today’s question:  “Is there a right or wrong split routine or is it just something an individual feels comfortable with?”

My answer:

The training program you follow depends on a few factors in my opion.

1.  Your goals
2.  Your training history (how advanced of a lifter are you)
3.  Your daily life schedule (this can affect the type of workouts you choose)
4.  Your results (or lack there of)

Let me explain,

I think you should choose a training program based on your current goals.  Is your goal fat loss, muscle building, strength gain, or athletic performance?

Secondly, how long have you been training for?  One year?  Two years?  10 years?  The longer you have been training the more frequently you should switch up your training program.  If you are brand spanking new to lifting you can probably stick with the same training program for 6-8

Fat Burning Success Tip – Make Yourself Accountable To Others

By kyle On February 7, 2009 1 Comment

Hey there,

I have a quick fat burning tip for you today.
Bonnie Lost 51 Pounds (So Far!)

Earlier todayI had a phone call with Bonnie Van Niekerk, a member of the Burn The Fat Inner Circle.  I had interviewed Bonnie earlier this year on how she lost 51 pounds of fat, flattened her tummy, and got into phenomenal shape!

Anyway, about a week ago Bonnie e-mailed me asking if she could start reporting her weekly progress leading up to her very first Figure Competition.

She has committed to report on her progress every week to THOUSANDS of people leading up to her competition.

Do you think that just maybe Bonnie will think twice before she skips a workout…

Before she cheats on her diet…

This is HUGE accountability that will help her stay on track leading up to her big competition.

So, you may not be at all

Fat Burning Q+A – “How many times a week should I do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts and how many rounds of 4 minutes should I do?” And More Questions About HIIT Workouts Answered…

By kyle On January 10, 2009 No Comments

Hey there,

For today’s Fat Burning Q+A Robin asks some questions about High Intensity Interval Training workouts for fat loss.

Here is her question:

“Hi Kyle, ..

How many times a week should I do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts and how many rounds of 4 minutes should I do?

Also, do I have to add seperate cardio and strength training to his workouts?

Is 4 minutes of cardio Tabata really enough?  If I did 4 or 8 minutes of dumbbell thruster tabata workouts, does that count as my strength workout for the day or should I add more?

Thank you,”

Robin

 KYLE’S RESPONSE TO ROBIN’S QUESTIONS:

How many times a week should I do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts and how many rounds of 4 minutes should I do?

****No right answer here.  As always, it depends on many factors – your current fitness levels, your goals, are you also doing weight

Guest Article – “Whole Eggs: Dietary Evil or the New Superfood”

By kyle On October 22, 2008 No Comments
QUESTION: Tom, I’m really confused about eggs. I’m not even sure if you’re going to be able to answer this or not, but to me and I’m sure others, it’s a very confusing and important topic. I only use egg whites because I did believe that the yolks are bad because of cholesterol and saturated fat. But with the studies coming out saying we are missing all of the best nutrients by throwing the yolks out it is very confusing. Could you please help clarify this issue? I have attached an article I got from another e-book author for your reference about what I’ve been reading, which spurred my frustration to contact you. tom venuto comments on whole eggs ANSWER: It’s overly simplistic to say that the saturated or animal fats cause heart disease. It’s even more simplistic and incorrect to say that foods high in dietaryClick here to continue reading

Excellent Joint Mobility Video featuring my coach Scott Sonnon – never before publicly released footage of Intu-Flow

By sifferman On August 20, 2008 No Comments

If you’ve been reading here at FatBurningBlog for awhile, then you have no doubt heard me talk about the amazing benefits of joint mobility training. Just this morning I had the opportunity to spend over an hour with high school soccer athletes (both the boys and girls varsity teams) teaching them joint mobility exercises. Many of the athletes were surprised how difficult the exercises were and how much tension they were carrying in their bodies. By the end of the session, everyone was moving better and it was enjoyed by all.

That’s one of the coolest things about joint mobility training – the instantaneous benefits.

I just found this video on youtube that I thought you would enjoy. This is my coach, Scott Sonnon, explaining the nuances of a proper joint mobility program. This information is priceless and is valuable for anyone whom exercises regularly. This is taken directly from Scott’s home
