Is There Really Such A Thing As “Fat Loss Magic?” (And 3 Tips To Burn More Calories!)

By kyle On August 5, 2010 No Comments

fat loss magicSTOP looking for magic my friend,

No magician will conjur up some fat loss magic that will strip the fat cells from your hips, abs, and butt and magically transform your body.  As humans we tend to look for the quick fix but you and I know deep down inside that quick fixes and magic really don’t work (we always hope they do but take a look at your results – have they ever really worked and delivered lasting results???)  NOPE….

Here’s a quote from a fat loss expert that will help reveal the truth:

“A lean body does not come from any particular type of exercise or foods per se, it’s the calories burned vs calories consumed that determines fat loss or fat gain.

You might do better by decreasing the calories consumed, whereas I depended more on increasing the calories burned, but

Why Some People Quit And Some People NEVER Give Up
By Tom Venuto, CSCS, NSCA-CPT

Throughout my 18 years in the fitness industry as a trainer, nutrition consultant and motivational coach, I have noticed that some people who start a nutrition and exercise program give up very easily after hitting the first obstacle they encounter. If they feel

Anway,

The reason I wanted to share this unique training tool with you today is because I used it a LOT during my last workout due to a training injury I am battling right now (the dreaded Lateral Epicondilitis, otherwise known as ‘Tennis Elbow’)

What Fat Loss Expert Tom Venuto Says About “Goal Setting For The New Decade: Beyond The New Year’s Resolution”

By kyle On January 4, 2010 No Comments

tom_venuto_fat_loss_coachgWhen you pause and reflect on the past decade as you look ahead to a new one, it makes you appreciate how short life is, how valuable time is and how quickly the time can pass you by – with nothing to show for it, if you don’t plan otherwise.

That’s why the passing of another decade can feel like a wakeup call as much as a fresh start: Looking at the technological wonders that surround us in 2010, I can’t help thinking it feels like science fiction.

In fact, modern technology is one of the reasons why some people have succeeded at body transformation while others have failed.

I’m still in awe of the web. The satellite navigation system in my car amazes me every time I drive. I can store a library of books in a device that

The Low Body Fat Secret Of Bodybuilders And Fitness Models

By kyle On June 30, 2009 1 Comment

The secret to getting super lean – I’m talking about being RIPPED, not just “average body fat” – is all about mastering the art of “peaking.” Most people do not have a clue about what it takes to reach the type of low body fat levels that reveal ripped six-pack abs, muscle striations, vascularity and extreme muscular definition, so they go about it completely the wrong way.

The 2 Pounds Per Week Rule and How to Burn Fat Faster

By kyle On February 21, 2009 No Comments

Author of “Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle
Why do you always hear that 2 pounds per week is the maximum amount of fat you should safely lose? If you train really hard while watching calories closely shouldn’t you be able to lose more fat without losing muscle or damaging your health?

What if you want to lose fat faster? How do you explain the fast weight losses on The Biggest Loser? These are all good questions that I’ve been asked many times. With the diet marketplace being flooded every day with rapid weight loss claims, these questions desperately need and deserve some honest answers. Want to know where that 2 pounds per week rule comes from and what it really takes to burn more than 2 pounds of fat per week? Read on.

Why Only 2 Pounds Per Week?

Fat Burning Q+A – Is there a right or wrong split routine or is it just something an individual feels comfortable with?

By kyle On February 8, 2009 No Comments

Hey there,

Got some Fat Burning Q+A for you today.

Today’s question:  “Is there a right or wrong split routine or is it just something an individual feels comfortable with?”

My answer:

The training program you follow depends on a few factors in my opion.

1.  Your goals
2.  Your training history (how advanced of a lifter are you)
3.  Your daily life schedule (this can affect the type of workouts you choose)
4.  Your results (or lack there of)

Let me explain,

I think you should choose a training program based on your current goals.  Is your goal fat loss, muscle building, strength gain, or athletic performance?

Secondly, how long have you been training for?  One year?  Two years?  10 years?  The longer you have been training the more frequently you should switch up your training program.  If you are brand spanking new to lifting you can probably stick with the same training program for 6-8
