A Great Tip for Fat Burning Success in the Kitchen

We have witnessed a very interesting fundamental paradigm shift in America as of late. In nutrition, what once used to be tradition, commonplace, and tools of the trade have now become virtually obsolete, the exception to society. What once was the norm in the average American’s diet, is now considered by many to be revolutionary and unorthodox. Believe it or not, one of the best things you can do to start burning fat and improving your health is to … (cue the drum roll)
EAT BREAKFAST?!?!
Like I said, this is not staggering advice, and we have all heard it before a hundred times. Yet, it is so common and easy for us to skip meals, especially breakfast. This is one of the biggest mistakes you can make if you’re trying to ditch fat and build lean muscle.
The term breakfast literally means to “break the overnight fast.” Upon waking in the morning, the body is just begging for nutrition - it needs to fuel up for the day after fasting for 8-12 hours. Skipping breakfast can literally halt your fat burning progress.
So, what are the benefits of eating a large, nutrient-dense breakfast first thing in the morning?
1. You immediately end the overnight fast and set the stage for a proper daily caloric intake
2. Your metabolism gets primed for all-day-long calorie burning, meaning an increase in fat burning
3. Your energy levels will be consistent throughout the day
4. You will be able to concentrate better throughout the day
Those first two benefits are the big ones. Many people skip breakfast as a means of weight control, but little do they know that this is actually working against them by encouraging excess calorie consumption later in the day. A good rule of thumb is that if your dinner meal is the largest of the day, you’re not eating enough for breakfast (and possibly lunch).
Here’s a quick recipe you can try for breakfast sometime:
Mixed veggie omelet with cheese
4 organic eggs
1 handful of mixed vegetables - fresh or frozen
2 tbsp of shredded cheese
salt and pepper to taste
You can scramble the eggs and mix the veggies in or make an omelet. Top with the cheese once served. Add one of your favorite fruits and this is a breakfast of fat burning champions!
Try out a large, nutrient-dense breakfast, every day this week and report back with your results - you won’t be disappointed.
