What Does 2009 Hold For YOU? You Want It, You Take It, You Pay The Price….

2009 is just days away and a new year

is about to be presented to you…

Yours for the taking,

A blank slate to which you can mold

and shape to your heart’s desires…

2008 will soon be a memory and you

can leave this past year in the past

and move forward with lessons learned…

So let me ask you,

What will you look like three months

from now?

How do you want to feel about your body

at the end of 2009?

Really think about it…savor it…

It’s yours for the taking my friend and

I hope that you will use 2008 as a stepping stone to the most amazing year of your life to date - 2009 is upon us…

A quote that I am fond of is:

“You want it, you take it, you pay the price.”

(Bruce Springsteen)

Your dreams and desires are there for the taking…

You only need to reach out and grab them, claim them as yours and then pay the price.

Yes,

It will require change…

Yes,

It will require effort…

Anyone that tells you other wise is full of crap.

Anything worth having in life requires that you decide upon what you want, claim it as yours, and then pay the price for it.

It sounds simple right?

Simple is not easy though.

You know that deep inside - you’ve always known it on some level.

But its hard to break the comfort zone that you are in now - trust me I know.

But I can assure you that if you do decide that 2009 will be YOUR YEAR…

You learn from an expert what the PRICE IS (it may be different than what you think it is due to misinformation that you may have been force fed by scammers)…

And you ‘roll up your sleeves’ and get to work every day until the job is done and the spoils are yours to enjoy…

You WILL have accomplished what 95% of

people NEVER achieve…

You will KNOW in your heart and soul that you took the higher road, the more challenging path and the ‘road not taken’ by most…

You WILL be one of the accomplished few who decided what you wanted, you took it, and you paid the price.

2009 is your blank slate {!firstname_fix}, so what’ll it be?

P.S. - As I write this it is 8:20 pm and I am tired and the ‘weak’ part of my mind is saying “Let’s just skip today and lift tomorrow”

BUT I know what that won’t cut it…

There is no ‘tomorrow’ - there is only today and the price I have to pay today to get one step closer to my goals.

Great Quote From Tom Venuto’s New Book “The Body Fat Solution”

Howdy,

I was reading Tom Venuto’s New Hardcover book this moring at the Gym while doing morning cardio on the stationary bike and came across a great quote I wanted to share with you.

This one quote basically sums up in concise paragraph EXACTLY what it takes to improve your fat burning and get super lean.

Check it out:

“You are what you think. You are what you believe. You are what you eat. You are the exercise you get. You are the company you keep.” –Tom Venuto

Pretty simple ehh?

It is easy to look at this one quote and dismiss it as common knowledge. I would challenge you with the following questions:

1. What are you thinking about ona daily basis? Are your thoughts conducive to a leaner, and healthier physique?

2. What are your beliefs about eating, your beliefs about exericse, your beliefs about what you are capable of, your beliefs about how successful you can become?

3. What exercise do you get every week? Do you lift weights a few times per week? Are you getting enough cardio? Are you progressing with your weight training AND cardio workouts? Are you working hard enough? Can you work harder in your workouts? Are you getting enough variety in your workouts?

4. What company are you keeping? Who are you hanging out with? Are they supportive of your dreams and goals or are they holding you back? Do you have accountability partners to help you stay on track? Do you have a support network to get your questions answered?

Think about that Tom Venutu quote and the answers to these questions. I hope that you can identify a “Weak link” in your current plan and make some changes that will help you improve your fat burning results.

3500 Calories To Lose A Pound - Is This Formula All Wrong?

Most fitness conscious people have heard that there are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat, so if you create a deficit of 3500 calories in a week, you lose a pound of weight. If you create a deficit of 7000 calories in a week, you lose two pounds, and so on. Right? Well, not so fast…

Dr. Kevin Hall, an investigator at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda has done some interesting research about the mechanisms regulating human body weight. He recently published a new paper in the International Journal of Obesity that throws a wrench in works of the “3500 calories to lose a pound” idea.

Some of the equations in his paper made my head hurt, but despite the complex math he used to come to his conclusions, his article clearly prompts the question, “3500 calories to lose a pound of WHAT?” His paper also contained a lot of simple and practical tips you can use to properly balance your caloric intake with output, fine tune your calorie deficit and help you retain more muscle when you diet.

Tom Venuto Shares The Quad Blaster With Adam Waters - Super Funny!

Howdy,

I was just e-mailing back and forth with my buddy Tom Venuto and he gave me a link to a video and said that I “had to watch this!”

Tom is a champion bodybuilder and fat loss expert so I thought I would check it out.

Turns out the video features our buddy Adam Waters from Real Time Physique and poor Adam gets a heck of a Quad workout from Tom’s little torture device known as the Quad Blaster!
